Five Cross-Nordic PolicyLabs will explore how VET can drive more skills for the green transition in the Nordics

The PolicyLabs will be rooted in insights from the case-magazine, which explores how Nordic VET programs already contribute to equipping students with green competencies and identifies pathways for further development. Now, these insights need to be discussed in a high-level forum, its potentials and barriers mapped, and how it can be transitioned into local and Nordic policy-recommendations. The PolicyLabs will thus address the question: How can VET better develop and equip the skills needed to meet the demands of a sustainable future in the Nordics?

The insights gained from the PolicyLabs will be compiled and published in a summary report, featuring both local and cross-Nordic recommendations for politicians on how to future-proof VET for the green transition.

The PolicyLabs will take place during winter/spring 2025 at the following locations:

  • Copenhagen, Denmark (6th of February)
  • Oslo, Norway (20th of February)
  • Stockholm, Sweden (21th of February)
  • Helsinki, Finland (TBA)
  • Reykjavik, Iceland (TBA)
