DESCRIPTION:Gathering Finnish youth to discuss education\, inclusion and well-being together with Omnia the 2nd of May 2024. Closed event.  \nThe Nordic Youth Relays [Link til siden herom på hjemmesiden] are a series of youth workshops to explore\, discuss and share ideas on how to strengthen Vocational Education and Training (VET) in the Nordics. Here\, young people will get the chance to share their perspective on how schools can support well-being and inclusion\, good learning environments and how VET-schools can become a more attractive educational choice for young people. By doing so\, they will help build a foundation of knowledge that Nordic decision makers need to strengthen VET and make it more inclusive and geared for the future.   \nThe youth participants in the Nordic Youth Relay in Finland are 20-25 VET students from Omnia in beginning of their educational program.   \nThe Nordic Youth Relay in Finland is conducted together with Omnia. Omnia provides upper secondary vocational education and training and general upper secondary education\, youth workshops\, further vocational qualifications and liberal adult education\, vocational courses and support in recruitment for enterprises.

SUMMARY:Nordic Youth Sounding Board Kick-Off
DESCRIPTION:Futureproofing VET in the Nordics is committed to have young voices front and center throughout the entire process of uncovering solutions for strengthening vocational education and training (VET) across the Nordic region. This is why we have established The Nordic Youth Sounding Board.  \nThe board consists of young people with a personal interest in furthering the agenda of better and more attractive VET programs. As the name suggests\, they will act as a sparring partner to the project group. Some of the board members are VET students themselves; some are politically active; some are well-being ambassadors. But what they all have in common\, is that they want to engage young people in their own country and across the Nordics to address topics affecting young people today like how to increase youth well-being and inclusion in VET schools and how to create better learning environments and more attractive VET programs.  \nTheir work begins on the 28th of February with a kick-off event for all members of the board.
